" (5/5) "Incredible food, peaceful river views, and a perfect family dining spot" We stopped at The River & Sandbar for a late lunch while staying in a nearby cabin on the White River -- and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Everything about this place feels special: the view, the food, and the calm atmosphere that makes you want to stay a while. I ordered the crab cakes and they were excellent -- golden and crisp on the outside, tender and flavorful inside, with a sauce that tied everything together beautifully. The Caesar salad was fresh, crisp, and well-balanced with just the right amount of dressing and crunch from the croutons. And the peanut butter pie/cheesecake was the perfect finish -- rich, creamy, and full of that classic peanut butter flavor without being too sweet. The location is unbeatable. The dining room overlooks the White River, and the outdoor seating area gives you a front-row view of the water. Watching boats go by and seeing the sunlight reflecting off the river while eating a great meal made it a peaceful, memorable experience for our family. Service was friendly and relaxed -- the kind of genuine hospitality that fits perfectly with the setting. It's clear the team here takes pride in both the food and the atmosphere they've built. If you're anywhere near Batesville, The River & Sandbar is a must-visit. Come hungry, take your time, and enjoy the view -- it's the perfect place to slow down and soak in the best of Arkansas."

"We celebrated my husband's birthday at The River and Sandbar in Batesville Ar, and it was a wonderful experience! The place is very nice, cozy, and clean, with a beautiful view of the river that made the afternoon even more enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious, and our server was very attentive and friendly. We even received a free dessert for my husband's birthday, which was such a thoughtful touch. Highly recommend this place for great food, great service, and a great atmosphere!"

"My wife and I went there and had a really nice time! From being out-of-town we wanted to experience someplace local. The staff was friendly, the burgers and drinks were good, and our bill was just over $50 w/drinks! The interior was very open and easy to walk around. They could easily fit more tables/chairs if they needed to. The only suggestion I would make, not a negative but more of an observation, we would have sat outside but there wasn't a whole lot of lighting. The string lights that was used inside would have been adequate for the outdoor seating area."

"We placed a to go order for deep fried mushrooms and got 1 order of buttons and 1 stems. I had never tried the stemS but my husband and I both were instantly in love! The taste was spectacular, thEy seemed to melt in our mouths and we got Full trays. We have gotten orders since and they are consistently wonderful!"

"It's a steak and seafood restaurant that has live music on weekends and lots of tables and a patio that overlook the White River. Prices run between $10-$30 depending on what type of steak or seafood you choose. It was little crowded at first when we arrived at seven pm and they have a bar and drinks speciaesl for each night. The place where the hostess sat us was towards the back and had poor lighting and I had to use the flashlight on my phone in order to see the menu little dark in the back of the restaurant. Food is cooked to your choice of steaks and our meals were in the price range of $73 for the both of us."
